Lavender Vase is made from a material incorporating real lavender flowers and stems, bringing their natural texture, colour and distinctive scent into a contemporary design object. Lavender is not simply an inspiration or decorative motif – it becomes a visible and tactile part of the vase itself.
The form is designed as an outer sleeve that wraps around a glass bottle. The bottle serves as the water container, while the Lavender Vase transforms its appearance and gives it a new purpose. In this way, an existing object is given a second life – with new value and a new place in the interior.
When not in use, the form can be opened and stored almost completely flat. This makes the Lavender Vase easy to store, transport and ship, offering a practical alternative to a conventional glass or ceramic vase.
The natural lavender surface and simple form bring texture and character to an interior, even without flowers. With a single flower, a branch or a larger arrangement, the vase becomes a distinctive feature on a table or shelf, in a hotel room, restaurant or contemporary interior.
Lavender Vase is part of VIUVIU Mediterranean Herbarium, a finalist at the Zagreb Design Week Award 2026 in the Product Design category. The project explores how plants can become an integral part of the materials and objects we use, while retaining their natural texture, colour and scent.
