WOVEN PENDANT LIGHTS
From fishing tradition to light that shapes a space.
Handcraftsmanship, natural materials, and inspiration from Hvar are woven into every detail of our pendant lights.
They were born from a desire to revive the nearly forgotten technique of weaving traditional fish traps and transform it into contemporary lighting objects for the home.
The story began with an old vršnjak.
In our old family cellar on the island of Hvar, we discovered a traditional fish trap. Its simple construction and weaving technique became the starting point for our idea.
With the desire to preserve the traditional technique of fish-trap weaving, we created the first Croatian woven pendant lights, designed for those who appreciate unique, handcrafted objects.
Each pendant light is made through a patient, meticulous process – more than 1,400 knots are tied by hand using fishing twine and a traditional netting needle. In this way, a craft rarely practiced today takes on a new role and a new life.
A MATERIAL WITH A STORY ROOTED IN NATURE
CROATIAN WILLOW
The willow used for our pendant lights is grown in northern Croatia, in a region with a long tradition of willow cultivation and craftsmanship. It is harvested in autumn, then naturally dried and prepared to preserve its flexibility and durability.
We source our willow exclusively from local craftspeople who follow sustainable growing and harvesting practices, supporting local production and helping preserve traditional craftsmanship.
NATURAL AND AUTHENTIC
The natural imperfections of the material remain visible, making every pendant light authentic and one of a kind.
Due to the slow and meticulous production process, our pendant lights are made in small batches, allowing us to maintain high quality and exclusivity.
It is precisely in these natural “imperfections” that the beauty of our products lies – making each piece authentic and unique.
TRADITION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Inspired by the fishing tradition of the island of Hvar, we use a traditional netting needle and fishing twine to create our woven pendant lights, bringing new life to a craft that has nearly disappeared and is rarely practiced today.
Preserving this technique helps keep traditional craftsmanship alive while contributing to the creation of sustainable, long-lasting products made with care and respect for both materials and tradition.

Recognition
Our work was also recognized at Zagreb Design Week 2024, where our woven pendant lights were selected as finalists for Best Product Design.
This nomination is not only a recognition of creativity, but also of our commitment to an innovative approach that brings together traditional handcraftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics.
